Biography

Samuel Kennard, born 1842, engaged in commerce with a generous spirit, investing his resources and energy into businesses and institutions that strengthened his community.

He balanced a keen mind for enterprise with a heartfelt dedication to civic improvement, and when he passed in 1916 his family and neighbors honored him at Bellefontaine Cemetery.
