Biography

Theodore Francis Green spent decades in public life, rising to become governor of Rhode Island during the 1930s and guiding the state through the Great Depression with reform-minded policies.

He then served in the U.S. Senate for nearly a quarter century, advocating for international cooperation and civil rights before being laid to rest at Swan Point Cemetery.
