William Donaldson (1813–?) was a young man who came of age in early nineteenth-century New Orleans. His life represents the generation that grew up during the city's rapid expansion and development as a major American port.
Donaldson was laid to rest in Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1, where he remains part of the historical community of the city he called home.
