William Jacob Holland

Biography

William Jacob Holland (1848-1932) was a naturalist and entomologist whose leadership of the Carnegie Museum and tenure as a university chancellor broadened public access to the wonders of the natural world.

He is interred at Allegheny Cemetery, where the collections and institutions he nurtured continue to inspire curiosity in new generations.
