William Quarter

Biography

William Quarter, born in 1806, embraced his calling as a bishop with unwavering compassion, shepherding congregants through times of rapid growth and encouraging the formation of new parishes and charitable institutions. He died in 1848 and was buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery, where those who remember him honor a life devoted to nurturing souls and communities in the Midwest.
