Charles G. Sawtelle

Biography

Charles G. Sawtelle (1834-1913) devoted his adult life to the service of his country as a dedicated military officer, guiding troops and supporting the nation through decades of change and challenge.

He now rests among fellow patriots at Arlington National Cemetery, where his commitment to duty is remembered by all who pass those hallowed grounds.
