Biography
Charles Peshall Plunkett rose through naval ranks by combining technical knowledge with a deep respect for the sailors he led. His tenure at sea and on shore inspired confidence and a belief that careful preparation was the key to any mission.
Even after active duty, Plunkett remained a mentor to young officers and a staunch supporter of the Navy community, and he now lies at Arlington National Cemetery among the guardians of the republic.
