Biography

Henry Post, born in 1885, became one of the early pioneers of Army aviation, mastering the new technology with both courage and technical skill. His flights helped prove the potential of aircraft for national defense.

Though he fell in flight in 1914, his pioneering spirit encouraged the young corps of aviators to persevere, and he rests in honor among the other servicemen at Arlington National Cemetery.
