Biography

Isaac Knapp was a printer whose work contributed to the dissemination of information and ideas in nineteenth-century Boston. As a tradesman in the printing industry, he played a role in the mechanical and intellectual advancement of his community during a formative period of American publishing.

Knapp's contributions to the printed word are remembered at Copp's Hill Burying Ground, where he was interred following his death in 1843.
