Biography
John B. Grayson was a career military officer whose service spanned the Mexican-American War and the early years of the Civil War. Known for his professionalism, he came to embody the ideals of duty and courage cherished by his comrades.
Though his life ended soon after the conflict began, his steadfast devotion to duty is remembered by those who visit his grave at Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1.
