Biography

Keliimaikai was a Hawaiian chief born in 1765 who served during a pivotal era in Hawaiian history. He lived during the reign of Kamehameha I, a period marked by the unification of the Hawaiian Islands and significant social and political transformation across the archipelago.

As a chief of considerable rank, Keliimaikai played a role in the governance and cultural life of his community. He passed away in 1809 at the age of 44 and was interred at the Royal Mausoleum of Hawaii, a testament to his standing within Hawaiian society. His legacy remains part of the enduring history of Hawaii's chiefly traditions.
