Biography
Margaret Howard, 2nd Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal, carried her medical training into a life of service, tending both the physical and moral health of those around her. A physician by trade and a peer of deep compassion, she used her position to advocate for medical causes and to encourage the next generation of women to pursue the healing arts with courage and care.
She now rests in Highgate Cemetery, where visitors can reflect on a life in which high ideals met practical care. Her dignified example endures in the institutions she supported and in the many grateful hearts she touched.
