Maria Revere Balestier

Biography

Maria Revere Balestier (1785–1847) was a member of the prominent Revere family of Boston, connected to the legacy of Paul Revere and the American Revolution. Her life represented the continuation of one of New England's most distinguished families into the nineteenth century.

Balestier's family connections placed her within the circles of Boston's intellectual and civic leadership. Her burial at the Granary Burying Ground reflects her family's prominence and her place within Boston's historical community during the early republic.
