Biography

Nathaniel Bright Emerson (1839–1915) combined scholarly rigor with pastoral warmth, devoting his days to translating the stories of the Pacific and offering spiritual comfort to the people of O'ahu. He carried an eager mind into every pulpit and study, earning respect as a clergyman who never parted from the humility and curiosity that lifted his scholarship.
