William Lambert

Biography

William Lambert (1789–1853) was a distinguished surveyor and mathematician whose scientific contributions and precise work significantly advanced the development of American cartography and surveying practices during the early republic.

Lambert's expertise and dedication to mathematical precision earned him recognition among his peers and contributed to the accurate mapping of American territories. He was interred at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
